Our English Cocker Spaniel kennel was established in 1994 with a lot of love and care. It is located in Glyfada, a wonderful seaside suburb of Athens.
My name is Katerina Papastefanou Kartsouni and my first cocker was given to me in 1987 and it was named Peggy. In 1992, her son named Filby (which was recognized) won BOB BOG under the Kennel Club of Greece dog show. In 1993 I brought from the UK, Lescot and in 1994 Scarlet (3xBOB – RBOG, 3xCAC and CACIB).
In 1994, while being Secretary General of Athens Canine Society, I met my husband Gary Kartsounis from South Africa. Gary was all breed judge and breeder of whippet and borzoi (60 x BIS and in 1981 in Verona, Italy World BIS with his whippet Whiskey). In 1996 I married Gary and followed him to South Africa. After the painful loss of Gary, I returned to Greece.
After some time I started again breeding Cockers and imported from Scotland “GR CH LOCHDENE BILBERRY” - (ALFIE) and from Finland “NORTHWORTH RIGHT N’ WRONG”- (SELMA). December 2009, my friend Tricia Bentley gave me "GR CH CANIGOU TAILS SHE WINS" – (B L U E) (RCC AT THE WINDSOR DOG SHOW SOCIETY CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2008).
I want to thank everyone who helped me to start breeding again. In Particular the president of the Greek Spaniel Club, Marioga Dekaristou, my friends Giorgo Kostopoulos and Stelio Makariti and my beloved friend and my handler Yianni Vlacho. As well my valuable friends and breeders, Tricia Bentley and Nina Kauhanen.
